UK: Prepare for the Obama “No-Drone Zone”, 21st through 24th April

From today, you can see the “RESTRICTION OF FLYING REGULATIONS – FOR THE VISIT TO LONDON AND WINDSOR BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” (to use it’s formal title) live on our free Drone Safety Map.

The full text of the area is covered in a special briefing document issued by NATS and the CAA on 15th April 2016 and is six pages long. We have however done the hard work for you and plotted the area (and times of operation) on our map:

The “Obama No-Drone Zone” over London and Windsor (denoted in by the yellow regions bordered in red), due to take effect 21st April 2016.

Altitude Angel’s recent April Update makes it possible for restrictions of a temporary nature to appear on our map automatically, giving you advanced warning so that you can plan your flights as necessary.

It’s all part of our efforts to help you plan and conduct your drone flights safely.
