Steer clear of George W. Bush this weekend

Just in case you had other ideas, over the weekend, we would like to help you to avoid George W. Bush (the Nimitz-class aircraft carriernot the 43rd President of the United States of America).

Screenshot of our Drone Safety Map describing the extent of the TFR (yellow). Visit the map and click on the TFR for full details.

While you may be tempted to pop over and say ‘howdy’, we really should point out that the old girl has a NOTAM-based Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) around her just south of the rather gorgeous intertwined ATZs of Fleetlands and Lee -on-Solent. Just to the west of Haslar prison, a no fly zone for pretty much all types of aviation is active as of 0500hrs GMT today and is due to last until about midday on 1st Aug.

Keep an eye on our drone safety map to keep informed of all the TFRs and airspace restrictions applicable to drone operators, around the world. Of course, users of our GuardianUTM platform will receive automatic detailed NOTAMs and TFRs in real-time.
